三重県生まれ、現在大阪にて制作。
麻布を繋ぎ合わせ、ゆらりと針を走らせる。
百田むつみさんのバッグは、麻布に刺し子をチクチク施したり 継ぎ布をしたりと、1点1点手間を惜しまず丁寧な縫製でコツコツと制作されています。
迷いのない縫い目、糸の集まり、心揺さぶられる色合わせ。小さなひと針の重なりにこんなにも心を掴まれてしまう。くたくたになったかばんもまた、愛おしいのです。

Born in Mie Prefecture, she currently works in Osaka.
She joins pieces of linen fabric together, letting her needle glide gently across the fabric.
Mutsumi Momota’s bags are crafted one by one with meticulous care, sparing no effort in her sewing—whether it’s applying sashiko stitches to the linen or patching together pieces of fabric.
Her confident stitches, the way the threads gather, and the heart-stirring color combinations—it’s astonishing how deeply one can be moved by the accumulation of such tiny stitches. Even a worn-out bag becomes something to cherish.
