茨城県城里町で作陶されている原田譲さん。
1000年ほど前の宋代に、中国大陸(現在の中国河北省)に栄えた「定窯瓷」という古陶磁の「うつし」や、それに倣った制作をされています。
定窯では、窯の中にお皿を伏せて置き焼いたことから窯に接触する縁には釉薬をかけないという焼き方や、釉薬、感触など、昔のものに近いかたちを追求されている忠実で丁寧なお仕事ぶりは見事です。
鴛鴦（おしどり）や鳳凰、鹿、牡丹や蓮や菊、縁起が良いとされる吉祥紋を彫り込んでいます。
凛とした姿の繊細な白瓷は、柔らかな薄黄色が温かさを添え、細やかな紋様には目も心も奪われる逸品です。

【うつわについて】
器の外側の露胎部分(釉薬のかかっていない部分) は吸水性があります。
ご使用前に軽く水通しをしていただき、色の薄い料理から徐々に使い始めていただき
経年による変化をお楽しみ下さい。
(使用後は良く乾かした後、収納ください。)
