曖昧さんが生み出すのは、時間までも染め込んだような、唯一無二の布。
柿渋や藍など、自然からいただいた染料を幾重にも重ね、綿や麻の布を丁寧に染め上げています。
陽の光を受けるたびに浮かび上がる陰影、重なり合う色の景色、味わい深い手縫いの繕い。
時の中でゆっくりと風化させた布には、歳月を重ねた古布のような深い味わいがあります。
一枚として同じ表情を持たないのも、曖昧さんの布の魅力。
染めの濃淡も、擦れも継ぎも繕いも、使うほどに手に馴染み暮らしの中で新たな表情を見せてくれます。

※天然染料で染め上げている為、経年、洗濯による色あせがありますが、風合いとしてお楽しみ下さい。
※お洗濯の際は中性洗剤をご使用いただき、初めは手洗いで、以降洗濯機を使われる際はネットに入れて下さい。

Aimai creates one-of-a-kind fabrics that seem to have absorbed the very passage of time.
Using natural dyes such as persimmon tannin and indigo, carefully dyes cotton and linen fabrics by layering the dyes in multiple coats.
The play of light and shadow that emerges whenever the fabric catches the sunlight, the overlapping hues, and the rich character of the hand-sewn mending.
These fabrics, slowly weathered over time, possess the deep character of vintage textiles that have stood the test of time.
The fact that no two pieces are exactly alike is part of the charm of Aimai’s fabrics.
Whether it’s the variations in dye intensity, the wear and tear, the patches, or the mending—the more you use them, the more they mold to your hands and reveal new facets of their character in your daily life.

*As it is dyed with natural dyes, the color may fade over time and with washing, but please enjoy it as a texture.
*When washing, please use a neutral detergent, wash by hand at first, and then place in a net when using the washing machine.
