高岡鋳物の発祥地として知られる金屋町で、茶釜や鉄瓶をはじめとする鋳金作品を手がけ、日本の茶の湯文化や工芸界に多大な功績を残して来られた畠春斎さん。
伝統と歴史への深い敬意を礎としながら、茶の湯の新たな表現を追求する三代目畠春斎さんの作風は、流れるように美しい造形と、現代的で研ぎ澄まされた佇まいを併せ持っています。

Kanaya-machi, known as the birthplace of Takaoka cast metalware, is home to Shunsai Hata, a master artisan who has created cast metal works such as tea kettles and iron teapots, making profound contributions to Japan’s tea ceremony culture and the world of traditional crafts.
Grounded in a deep reverence for tradition and history, the third-generation Hatsuharu Hata pursues new expressions within the art of tea. His works are characterized by flowing, graceful forms combined with a contemporary, finely honed presence.
