◆アテ紙
和紙を染色する際に下敷きとして使用した紙から作られています。
偶然の色の重なりが面白い景色を生み、切り取られることでひとつの作品となります。
敷紙として、壁などに飾ってアートピースとしても。

和紙職人として国内外で幅広くご活躍されるハタノワタルさん。
そのレパートリーは箱ものや敷板など手元に置きたくなる日常使いのものから絵画や書まで。
家具や内装も手掛けるなど和紙の風合いを生かした空間作りにも惹かれます。

1971. 淡路島に生まれる / 1995. 多摩美術大学絵画科油画専攻卒
1997. 黒谷和紙研修生となる
1998. 黒谷和紙協同組合青年会を立ち上げる / ベトナムに紙漉き職人として派遣
以後、日本各地で展示を開催。近年は海外の企画展にも参加。
