三重県四日市に「萬古赤絵」という伝統技法があり、落ち着いた色調の赤と温かみのある土肌が
アンティークの雰囲気を漂わせた赤絵です。
この技法を受け継ぐ冬柴文廣さんは、伝統的な萬古赤絵と「釉描彩」という立体感のある描画技法を組み合わせ、個性を生み出しています。
工房の周辺や近辺の可憐な野の花々がモチーフになった作品も数多く制作されています。

1948 長崎市生まれ
1971 金沢美術工芸大学卒業(10代大樋長左衛門氏、原田実氏に師事)
以降洋陶プロダクトデザインに従事
1982 独立露光窯開窯
朝日陶芸展、中日国際陶芸展など入賞入選
日本現代工芸美術展入選を重ねる
1982同上退会
1989 萬古焼総合コンペティション最高賞受賞
2001 イギリスにて作陶、ペンリスにて開催されたジャパン・フェアに出品
